BALI TRIPPING 2018!
Its our annual(trying to) girls trip once again! This time round, it’s to BALIIIIIII!!!
As usual, I will be the one planning the itinerary but there is one con for me doing so- the entire day will be packed with activities. Oh well, at least at the end day one of my gf said even though she went to Bali for 8 TIMES, she never been to the places we went!
Likewise, those who will like a copy of our itinerary.. pls download at the end of this post(read through for detailed experiences and disclaimer) or you can download it directly at our itineraries page.

Day 01
Places we went today:
- Sea circus Bali
- Petitneget beach (if can come here during the sunset heard it’s really beautiful)
- Sea play vu (skipped this cuz we were still too full from lunch)
- La Laguna (you can skip this. It’s totally uninteresting & pictures online is a waste of time)
- Ultimo Italian
Landed and it’s straight to our villa to put our luggage and out we go! Got tons of compliments and enquiries for our villa so I’m gona paste the link here: https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/24610710
Yes, the villa is one of the prettiest yet modern contemporary I had ever stayed! It came with a free pick up(note departure is not free) so I arranged for our personal driver(will share more about him at the end of the post) to pick us from the villa.
Off to Sea Circus Bali for brunch first then it’s off to Petitenget Beach cause it’s nearby. However, if you can, do come here during the evening as I heard the sunset is really beautiful. There is no way we can squeeze this in so we can only come in the noon.
Supposed to head to lunch aft that but we were still too full from Sea Circus so we skipped it. Went La Laguna thinking it’s a nice place to chill but I’m so so wrong. It’s nth I’ve imagined it to be. There is NO view and a lot things are still under construction and there are ALOT of insects at the seats/tables.
I would have gone Lawn Canggu instead or potato head beach club!
Back to the villa to rest before it’s dinner at Ultimo Italian. This is more atas restaurant kind and they serve good Italian restaurant at cheap prices.
Back to the villa to rest for the night cause everyone is too shagged out from the morning (5am) flight + it’s gona be an early morning tomorrow- what’s new.
Day 02
Places went today:
- The Grain Bali
- Tukad Cepung waterfall
- Bali swing
- UBUD naughty nuris
- Ubud traditional market
- Merah Putih
I will recommend setting off even earlier if you can if you wish to have some time shopping in Ubud market.
We also skipped the Grand Canyon of Bali (need few hrs to track) so if you have additional day or more time in Bali do go and try it out!
For the Tukad Cepung waterfall, PLS DO NOT REMOVE YOUR SLIPPERS EVEN THOU OTHERS ARE DOING SO. The stones and pebbles on the floor made the walk so unbearable and pain!! Also, pls “Turn Left the moment u went down the stairs don’t be idiot like us who turned right, walked a dist to nowhere with painful stones beneath our feet & ended up its somewhere near the entrance LOL.
Off to Bali Swing after that and we gave the tenngunan waterfall(normally ppl will go there after Bali swing) miss cuz there are not enough time.
Also, most people have the conception that the Bali swing itself cost sgd50. It’s not! The sgd50 consider of 3-4 swings + a few other photo spots + lunch buffet! So, actually it’s pretty worth it. But we gave the lunch buffet a miss(it’s all in a package you can’t choose still have to pay for it) cause we are going…. Naughty Nuris for lunch!!!
Been wanting to try Naughty Nuris(forgot to take photos pls see the video!!) after hearing so many people raving about it. And Ubud’s outlet is the original one. I can tell you it did not disappoint, ITS REALLY GOOOD!
Now, I hope the JB outlet is as good or I’m gona have a bad time craving for the ribs!
Skipped Ubud traditional shopping market too cause we are afraid of the jam + we made a dinner reservation at 8.30pm which we still need to head back to the villa to shower and change first.
Merah Putih is slightly on a more high end restaurant so you guys can skip this or change it to other local food. We chose this cuz it’s the sept babies bday dinner too.
The restaurant is a mix fusion of Indo western cuisine and is sth more towards fine dining. But overall, the ambience is really awesome it’s like white rabbit x 2 more atas.
Back to the villa cause it’s yet another early morning the next day haha.
Day 03
Places we went:
- 1/2 day Nusa Penida tour
- Sisterfield (skipped this cuz no time haha)
- Laca Laca
- Motel Mexicola
Normally, people tend to stay one night in Nusa Penida and spend the entire day touring it as it consist of a lot other places like the devils tear and other beaches etc. The tour we took only cover 1/3 of the area but it’s all the places we want to explore(thanks to Instagram) so it’s fine for us.
Booked my tour through this link: https://www.instagram.com/nusapenidaholiday/?hl=en
Yes its an instagram account you will need to email them for the our packages. Also, payment is only required after the tour so you can just book first and cancel it subsequently. We have 1 hiccup for this which is our driver were not at the jetty to pick us when we arrived. He came only about 30mins later.
Places covered in the tour were the Angel billabong, Broken beach, Kekkling beach, Pulau cliff & Crystal bay Beach.
Nusa Penida is known as the Maldives of Bali and I will strongly recommend for y’all to head there be it for half day or a day or two. The view is really magnificent. However, do be careful as most photo spots are like at the edge of the cliff or something.
Back to our jetty at 4.30pm and it’s back to the villa to change before heading out for dinner + motel mexicola!
Had dinner at Laca Laca and the Mexican food is really good. You can grab food at Motel Mexicola too but I will suggest to go Laca Laca for dinner then to mexicola to “club”. Oh yes, do make reservation if you intend to dine at mexicola else you can only get drinks & just stand around.
Music at Motel Mexicola is sooo good it totally reminds us of our young-er times. Not that we are very old but if you are from the 90s you will love the place too!
“Clubbed” all the way till 11pm-12am, yes our driver waited for us throughout and it’s back to our villa. Actly, we can just grab ourselves but since it’s only sgd5/hr for OT and we felt safer with our driver, we decide to extend him all the way.
Day 04
Places we went:
- Waterbom Bali
- Eatwell
- Spa Bali massage
It’s Waterbom day!!! This is one of the recommend water theme park and it reminds me of Singapore wet n wild + adventure cove!
The Bistriot for breakfast first and oh man, the food there is really good. If you are a fan of cafe food you will love it there.
We went Waterbom on a Sunday and surprisingly there isn’t much people. Queues were pretty short and we manage to comb everything within 4hrs!
So off to Rockbar Bali to get a good seat for sunset! Thank god we went earlier as it’s fully packed by 5pm! It’s my first official sunset and oh my god, the sight is really amazing. We saw exactly how the sun went from the sky down to the “sea line” and the movement is sooo clear you can literally see a “yolk” moving no kidding!
In the past, normally the sunset I caught were like the sun is just behind the clouds and the sky turn from bright to dark that’s all so I was really amazed.
Straight to Eatwell for dinner cause we wanted to head for massage after that so we forgo heading back to villa to change.
Eatwell is mainly of meats so if you are not really a fan of meaty food then you can replace this with other Bali restaurants! But I will say their pork and beef are really not badddddd.
2hrs massage at Spa Bali aft that and it’s pretty good! I love Balinese massage cuz it’s so relaxing + it’s those rubbing kind instead of cracking kind- you get what I mean. The only bad thing is we will be oily after that haha.
Back to the villa and K.O.
Day 05
Places went:
- Kynd community
- The Lawn Canggu
- Pak Malen Babi Gulen
- Airport
Last day in Bali! Even though it’s the last day but nope, there is no rest day! Haha.
Checked out at 9am though our flight is 7pm as we will be heading out the entire day then straight to the airport.
Reason why we head to Kynd Community(for me) is photos. But if you are a fan of healthy food like smoothie bowl or açai etc you will love the place! One of my gf, Sharon, love the food there it’s her kind of food!
To the Lawn Canngu to chill after that it’s sth like a Tanjong beach club. However, cause the rest weren’t really prepared for the beach so we didn’t really enjoy it. But if we were to head there on the first day I think everyone will like it!
Pak Malen Babi Gulen(forgot to take pics too pls see the video haha) is a must cause it’s one of the local Indonesia food! However, don’t expect it to be a nice and clean place its really one of those local stalls which also means, good local food!
Personally I love it but the taste may be too spicy and strong to some.
To massage before the airport after that but sadly, the massage parlour we wanted to go is fully booked. Yes they are very popular and heard that its good. So do try if you can– Reborn Foot Reflexlogy! Do rem to book in advance!
Oh yes if you like to buy some packets of cashew nuts or peanuts back, you can get it from this shop on the most left once you enter the airport. Rem it’s right before the departure area! But if you want to get chips and snacks back to SG you can get it at either the Bintang supermarket(slightly more ex) or the standalone Giant supermart. We bought cartons of chips back and the flavours are not avail in SG.
PERSONALLY I STRONGLY RECOMMEND OUR DRIVER IF YOU ARE HEADING TO BALI!!! Not only he is very well mannered and nice, he also look out for us throughout the trip and make us feel so safe like we are his daughters. His rates are very reasonable too $600k/day for 9 HRs (big car) & additional 50k/hr(that’s like $5 only?!) for OT.
Everyday our activities are packed from 7am-11pm and he didn’t complain a single time.
You may whatsapp him at Rudi: +62 817-9794-958 (dont say good thing never share!)
N that’s the end of our Bali trip! I really like Bali even though it’s not that well developed, the vibe, the places are so chill it made me wana stay there for a month doing nth but relax! There are definitely a lot more cafes a lot more places we haven’t explored in Bali and I will definitely be back for more!
*Disclaimer* – as requested by my friends too. Pls do not follow my itinerary fully unless you are kiasu + can wake up very early like me! If not as quoted by my friends – “will die one sia” hahahahaha.
